As a girl or guy that’s the breadwinner of the family, it is important that you must maintain a healthy and ill-free body. Good health should be achieved not only physically, but mentally as well. As a working person, It’s often difficult to manage your time when there are tons of heavy workloads to be done, customers that needed to be tended to or patients that have to be treated. The end-result of this is usually stress and fatigue. In order to overcome these daily hassles, you need to follow a set of rules that would help you stay fit and still have some quality time for your family.
1. HAVE THE ADEQUATE TIME TO SLEEP
Sleep is very important because it provides the body with optimum levels of energy to get you through the day. As adults, the average time required of sleep according to health professionals is 7 – 9 hours to revitalize the body fully and to function their best.
2. HAVE A WELL BALANCED DIET
Diet doesn’t necessarily mean you have to eat less food. It simply means that you should have the proper and required nutrients such as protein and carbohydrates for your brain and body to be alert and ready for the whole working day. Remember the saying “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day”. It’s true on all accounts.
3. EXERCISE WHEN YOU HAVE THE TIME
The moment you wake up and before you do anything else, try to have some simple excercises like stretching and jogging in place. This would make your blood flow through your brain and body faster making you alert and ready for the day ahead.
4. MAKE A SCHEDULE IF YOU CAN
Making a schedule of everything that you’ll do could save you a lot of time and effort and would lessen the feeling of stress and fatigue. It can help you manage your time by doing the easiest workload first and ending up with the more stressful ones, or you can have it the other way. The stressful ones first and then ending up on the easy ones so you can relax before getting home. What’s more important is that having a schedule will inform you if you’re already overdoing something.
5. WEAR SOME COMFORTABLE SHOES
As a regular working person, you are expected to walk around your work area in extended periods of time. This is especially true for store clerks and nurses that constantly rush around tending to the customers or patients. Massage therapists would tell you that your feet has a direct relation with your whole body because it has corresponding pressure points to different organs in the body. Wearing comfortable shoes would most likely help you cope with stress and fatigue and make you feel happy and more energetic the whole day.
There is a popular saying that “Health is Wealth”. Your health is what keeps you from getting that next paycheck or next salary. it is your basic asset that is required so you would not miss any working day.
